Description
This paper by Howard Harris defines ethics as the very practical activity of applying one's chosen values in daily life, thus making an understanding of ethics an essential requirement for any managers, winemakers, engineers, accountants, lawyers or marketers who are trying to live up to the hopes of their professions. The paper describes several factors to be taken into account when nurturing the careers of managers and other business professionals and when designing professional and ethics material for inclusion in training and development programs. In doing so it shows that corporate ethical practice can be a competitive advantage in global markets.
