Report
Description
In rich countries children's basic needs have been generally met but there is scope for further progress in child well-being, according to the seventh report card from the UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre in Florence. Small North-European countries dominate the top half of the table. Although Australia rates below average in relation to the material well-being of children, it comes third highest in terms of student achievement in reading, mathematical and scientific literacy.
