Workplace violence has been defined as "incidents where persons are abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances related to their work, involving an explicit or implicit challenge to their safety, well-being or health". In this paper, presented at the Security in Government Conference 2003, AIC director Adam Graycar looks at the extent and nature of the problem within Australia.
