This report provides an overview and analysis of accompanying children in SAAP in 2002-03, including their demographic characteristics, patterns of SAAP use and the reasons why their parents or guardians sought SAAP support. Domestic violence is a major theme of the report, as the majority of children accompany their mother or other female guardian who has reported domestic violence as a reason for seeking SAAP assistance.
