The purpose of this inquiry was to enable the NDIS Commissioner to identify trends in issues that are occurring in supported accommodation, what is causing those issues, and how the NDIS Commission can use its powers to support the delivery of higher standards of support in these settings.

These National Disability Insurance Scheme Practice Standards create an important benchmark for providers to assess their performance, and to demonstrate how they provide high quality and safe supports and services to NDIS participants.
