‘Aussie Afghans’: The identity journeys of Muslim Australians, with a focus on Hazara community from Afghanistan, as they negotiate individual, ethnic, religious and national identities


This project aimed to explore the experiences of Muslim Australians, specifically Afghan Hazara. This report shows that identities are nuanced and complex as individuals and groups negotiate their sense of identity.
