Promoting wellbeing through school-based anti-racism initiatives
This report presents findings from a school-based research project examining the development, implementation and outcomes of a whole-school anti-racism and cultural inclusion initiative in a South Australian secondary school. Findings indicate that this sustained, whole-school approach led to a range of positive outcomes.

Enhancing belonging for African diaspora students in Australia
Belonging is a critical aspect of young people’s educational experience. For African diaspora students in Australian schools, belonging is complex. This report presents findings from a teacher action research project. It highlights how belonging was understood and enacted within participating schools, the professional learning approaches used and the outcomes for students, teachers and school communities.

Youth Connect program evaluation
This evaluation sought to explore the processes and impacts of the Youth Connect program in relation to social participation, economic independence, personal wellbeing, and at-risk or anti-social behaviour. The evaluation finds that the program did offer support for young people facing a series of interconnected challenges.

Refugee students’ views about how schools can foster resilience: what helps, what hinders and what needs to change
In this report, the authors privilege the perspectives and voices of students from refugee backgrounds on the school-level relationships, activities and services that enable them to develop resilience, despite their sometimes challenging life experiences as young refugees.

Social capital and rural health for refugee communities in Australia
The objective of this paper is to show how social ties are important for participants’ health, both facilitating access to resources, including health services, and connecting people to health-promoting living conditions.
