This publication provides a guide for Australian government and business decision-makers on priority technologies, deployment pathways and benchmarks for achieving net zero emissions. It shows that Australia can immediately accelerate deployment of mature and demonstration zero-emissions solutions, like renewable energy and electric vehicles, in sectors such as electricity, transport and buildings.

This report establishes a framework for understanding the range of low emissions technologies available, current barriers and enablers to deployment. The technologies are grouped according to a series of options or ‘pathways’ that the Australian Government could invest in.

This report is part of the global Deep Decarbonization Pathways Project (DDPP), which aims to understand and show how countries can transition to a very low carbon economy.
