In collaboration with ANROWS, MinterEllison has developed this report on Australian public financing of initiatives addressing domestic, family and sexual violence. The report lays the groundwork for more strategic and transparent national investment in the pursuit of ending violence against women.

This strategy outlines the Australian Government's vision for gender equality – an Australia where people are safe, treated with respect, have choices, and have access to resources and equal outcomes no matter their gender.

This action plan recognises the unique role that higher education providers can and must play in driving the broader social change needed to address gender-based violence, as well as the distinct responsibilities they hold in relation to creating safe study, work, social and living environments.

This strategy document aims to uphold the Australian Defence Force's values and behaviours in preventing family and domestic violence, to support those experiencing violence, and break down the barriers that may deter victims from seeking help.

In this report, the Committee makes 10 recommendations that address specific issues in relation to the rights of women and children, including on matters such as gender-based violence, orphanage trafficking, acid attacks and technology-facilitated abuse.
