The report applies behavioural insights to the design of energy bills. It will inform the Australian Energy Regulator’s development of a new Better Bills Guideline in order to simplify energy bills so consumers can better understand and manage their energy usage and costs and find a better energy deal.

Reducing stigma to improve take-up of rental assistance
Policy makers are investing heavily in rental assistance programs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper discusses a randomised experiment to evaluate the effect of reducing the psychological costs associated with accessing emergency rental assistance on benefit take-up, and on subsequent eviction rates.
