This review is the first time Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have led a national assessment of how the National Agreement on Closing the Gap is working on the ground. It puts their perspectives, experiences and solutions front and centre. The review sets out 12 key findings and 17 recommendations.

NACCHO ADLO program evaluation
This evaluation explores four main areas of the the Aboriginal Disability Liaison Officer (ADLO) program. The goal of the ADLO program is to improve how the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) connects with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability. Twelve recommendations have emerged from the evaluation.

This audit assessed the effectiveness of the governance arrangements for the implementation of the 2020 National Agreement on Closing the Gap in New South Wales (NSW). It finds that the governance arrangements are not operating effectively. The report makes four recommendations aimed at improving the governance of the National Agreement in NSW.

Connecting community: the role of Indigenous management in disability care
This paper presents findings from a 2023 Indigenist qualitative study exploring how disability service providers in Southeast Queensland support Indigenous peoples with disabilities. It found Indigenous-managed organisations demonstrated an Embedded Cultural Base model where cultural values were deeply woven into governance, service delivery, and community engagement.
