CIM is defined as the use of public space by individuals who are under 18 years and unaccompanied by adults. The study finds that policy transforms children into a homogenous ‘at-risk’ population.

High rise housing has become an increasingly popular form of urban development in Australian capital cities. Yet the effects of high rise residences on children’s well-being remain largely neglected by researchers and policy-makers.
