The library and information sector in Australia is not alone in identifying the need to take a potentially radical approach to the education of professionals. This paper provides a summary of the themes which emerged during the consultation with the sector, which has enabled work to start on three possible future scenarios.

In preparing this report, Education Futures director, Deborah Corrigan, examined over 200 research articles, books and reports on STEM education, to collate the research evidence and offer answers to five key questions on STEM education.

This review was conducted to provide the Education Council with advice and recommendations on how senior secondary students can better understand and be enabled to choose the most appropriate pathway to support their transition into work, further education and/or training.

This paper focuses on the role of applied-design and technological capabilities in education in fostering and developing human ingenuity and innovation traits among students. This research is typically a multi-disciplinary effort, often drawing upon ‘play-based’ and ‘project-based’ learning to develop the educated citizen.
