Governments increasingly recognise the need for greater flexibility in grant schemes to better support local organisations and respond to community needs. The two snapshots are designed to support policymakers and funders in making evidence-informed decisions about flexible funding approaches.

The Strengthening Medicare: General Practice Grants Program provided practices and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations access to $220 million in grants from 2023 to 2024 to make improvements to expand patient access and support safe, quality primary care.
