Contributing to regional decarbonization: Australia’s potential to supply zero-carbon commodities to the Asia-Pacific
This paper investigates three pathways by which Australia could export zero-carbon energy and products: direct exports of renewable electricity via sub-sea cables, exports of zero-carbon fuels (such as green hydrogen), and the export of 'green' metals processed from Australian ores using renewable energy.

This report argues that the rapid transformation of Australia's aluminium facilities to sustainable sources of electricity would spark substantial economic benefits - for the aluminium industry, its supply chain, and for the burgeoning renewable energy sector.

This project organised and hosted four two-hour online workshops in September 2021 to bring together policy-makers and evaluation practitioners to highlight evaluation methods and analysis, and the evaluation of energy technologies, programs and policies. The workshop focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
