This report examines the drivers of, and barriers to, private sector investment (both foreign and local). In addition, the research seeks to understand the benefits and costs associated with different forms of private sector investment - ranging from large scale foreign through to small scale local/Pasifika and ex(re)patriate.

This report argues that the energy sector is changing rapidly globally and nationally; and that Western Australia needs a plan to navigate its way through these changes and towards a sustainable and affordable energy future.

Effective guidance on the retrofitting and redesign of built environment energy systems must occur across scales, from rooftops to wider electricity grids. So what is the role of planning? What challenges and actions must planners consider for the renewable energy transition to be effective?

This project provided the Borough of Queenscliff community with independent advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy options to give them the confidence to implement changes in their homes and businesses that will make them more resilient to climate change.

This plan outlines the actions that the Victorian government is taking to encourage investment in the energy sector and to ensure Victorians continue to benefit from a renewable, affordable and reliable energy system.
