Description

This role title varies between Australian jurisdictions. The core role of the Community Visitor is to safeguard the interests and rights of vulnerable people who have a disability and are living in eligible services. Community Visitors are independent advocates who can ensure that the concerns, views and wishes of people in out of home care, supported accommodation and other institutionally managed settings are listened to and seriously considered.
