Description
The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) supports community based organisations to recruit and match volunteers to provide friendship and companionship through volunteer visits to care recipients of Australian Government funded residential aged care and home care packages who are isolated or at risk of social isolation or loneliness.
The purpose of the Community Visitor Scheme (CVS) National Guidelines is to outline the aims of the program and the roles and responsibilities of all parties to support program implementation.
These guidelines were first produced in November 2019 and updated in July 2022.
