Women’s experiences of family violence services in Solomon Islands
In 2016, in Solomon Islands, the Family Protection Act (FPA) came into force. It set out new provisions and stipulations for service responses under the family violence system. Three years into the FPA, the results in this report reveal the perspectives of 126 service users across five provinces, plus 24 service provider staff.

This evaluation assessed the impact of the Family Violence Prevention Legal Services program. It identified several factors which may reduce the risk of violence and promote improved outcomes, and made 36 recommendations for improving the operation of the program.

Evaluation of the Integrated Domestic and Family Violence Services program
This paper outlines key findings from an evaluation of the IDFVS, undertaken by researchers from the University of New South Wales. The evaluation found that the program has filled a major gap in the service system by providing services to women still living with violence. Participation in the program also improved client wellbeing.
