Review of payment difficulty protections in the National Energy Customer Framework
The findings of a review that considered whether there is a case to strengthen protections for customers experiencing payment difficulty with energy bills. It concludes that the current protections are not fit for purpose. It identifies 13 opportunities to improve the framework, including to reduce the burden of debt in the energy system.
