This study investigates community discourses around democracy, with the aim of understanding how different segments of the Australian community talk about democracy.

Understanding policy-makers' perceptions about the appropriate role of citizens in the democratic process has significant normative and practical relevance. This study presents an in-depth, mixed-methods analysis of participatory views of politicians, public officials, and interest group representatives in Finland.

Mission Australia's Youth Survey 2023 paints a picture of a diverse, resilient and capable group of young people who often experience significant pressures in multiple facets of life, but who can usually identify solutions or ways of coping. This study provides insight into the current and future concerns of the next generation of Australian adults.

The UK Climate Change Committee and the UK Government’s independent review of net-zero have both emphasised an urgent need for the public, as citizens and consumers, to have a much larger role in net-zero. This paper presents tangible ideas for how this could be done.
