The cultural development plan 2019 - 2029 is a statement of the value of culture, the importance of arts, culture, heritage, events and centres of life-long learning to Perth's future prosperity, sustainability, liveability and wellbeing. The essence of cultural development is delivering outcomes through continued investment in cultural activities.

Shaping the next ten years: draft strategy 2020-30
In December 2019, Arts Council England plans to publish its next 10-year strategy to extend and develop the Arts Council’s support for our country’s artists, curators and librarians, cultural organisations and their workforces, and the communities they serve. This draft strategy is open for consultation and responses to it will inform the final strategy.

Report on the National Local Government Cultural Forum Initiative 2013-2018
This work was recognised by the United Cities and Local Government Committee on Culture, who endorsed the Cultural Forum initiative as one of 120 global ‘good practice’ examples in the area of culture and local sustainable development.
