This report evaluates fixed site and event-based drug checking services in Queensland. It finds the services met expectations, catered to a diverse client base and provided valuable harm reduction. The report identifies a range of considerations for future service delivery.

This research note provides an update on the debates around pill testing since 2019. It provides an overview of the arguments for and against pill testing, stakeholder views and a brief description of pill testing programs in selected jurisdictions.

This Bill Brief looks at legislative attempts to introduce pill testing across all Australian states and territories. It includes an overview of major stakeholder opinions on pill testing, and brief descriptions of existing pill testing programs in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

The findings in this report support the development of further pill testing trials in Australia, using diverse implementation models, with a focus on designing and implementing the services in a manner that is responsive to their unique contexts, rather than applying any single implementation approach.

Drug use at music festivals has become a public safety concern in NSW, one that has led to a number of deaths in recent years. This paper provides an overview of the main recommendations of the Expert Panel report entitled Keeping People Safe at Music Festivals, released by the NSW Government on 24 October 2018.
