This report presents the findings from a process evaluation of the Justice Housing Program (JHP). JHP provides transitional accommodation for detainees exiting prison, who are assessed as suitable for independent, shared living. JHP is designed to assist clients in finding more permanent accommodation, as well as linking them to community services and other support networks.

The findings in this report support the development of further pill testing trials in Australia, using diverse implementation models, with a focus on designing and implementing the services in a manner that is responsive to their unique contexts, rather than applying any single implementation approach.

This study systematically reviews research into the use and impact of protection orders, using the EMMIE framework (Effectiveness, Mechanisms, Moderators, Implementation and Economy).
