This Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) outlines the actions the department will take to improve opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff. The development process was led by the department's Indigenous Staff Network and RAP Working Group and helps to strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The Australian Museums and Galleries Association 10-Year Indigenous Roadmap is committed to improving Indigenous engagement and employment. The roadmap was developed for the museums and galleries sector.

Reconciliation Action Plan 2017–2019
Swinburne was the first Australian university to achieve 'Elevate' status for their Reconciliation Action Plan 2017–2019. This is the highest level of endorsement granted by Reconciliation Australia.
