There is growing concern about the use of plastics and their effects on the environment and human health. This document sets out how plastics are made, used and disposed of. It also covers how plastics enter the environment and the risks plastics pose to New Zealand and provides some suggestions for reducing plastic pollution.

This paper addresses the legal frameworks and rules about what local and regional councils in New Zealand can and cannot do to adapt to the coastal hazards associated with sea-level rise and climate change.

This framework defines standards for written policy and advice across four areas: context, analysis, advice and action. It helps agencies assess quality and ensure advice is fit for purpose. While focused on written products, oral advice should reflect the same principles, even if not all details apply.
