Description
This report synthesises evidence on effective approaches to protect children on the move – child refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and returnees. It draws on 89 studies in English, French and Spanish, covering all world regions.
The report looks at what has worked to strengthen policies and systems, and to provide effective services to help protect different groups of children on the move. These depend, for example, on whether children are unaccompanied, the reason for movement and the specific risks they face, related to age, gender and nature of movement.
The report concludes by outlining key evidence gaps and suggesting ways to strengthen the evidence base.
