Guidelines on the management of co-occurring alcohol and other drug and mental health conditions in alcohol and other drug treatment settings

Publisher
Mental disorders Psychology Substance use Drugs and alcohol Mental health Public health Australia
Description

These guidelines aim to increase the knowledge and awareness of co-occurring mental health conditions among the AOD workforce; improve the confidence and skills of AOD workers; increase the uptake of evidence-based care; and ultimately improve outcomes for people with co-occurring AOD and mental health conditions.

The Comorbidity Guidelines were developed by researchers from the Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney, in consultation with a panel of experts, drawing on the experience and knowledge of clinicians, consumers, carers and researchers.
