Description

This report synthesises key findings and recommendations from the IEEE AuDIITA Workshop held at Swinburne University of Technology in November 2024.

The workshop examined critical intersections between artificial intelligence, human dignity, and ethical technology development through four key sessions focusing on: defence applications, domestic violence prevention, AI trigger points, and future directions.

Drawing on insights from technologists, ethicists, policymakers, and community representatives, the report presents comprehensive frameworks for embedding ethical considerations in AI development while balancing innovation with human rights protection.

Key recommendations address technology developers, policymakers, industry leaders, and academic institutions, with particular emphasis on Safety by Design principles, inclusive development practices, and cross-sector collaboration. This report provides guidance for stakeholders working to ensure AI technologies enhance rather than diminish human dignity.
