Description
A comprehensive global study into the public’s trust, use and attitudes towards artificial intelligence (AI). The report presents public attitudes towards AI, employee attitudes towards AI at work and students attitudes towards AI in education.
The surge in AI adoption, coupled with low AI literacy and weak governance is creating a complex risk environment, with many organisations deploying AI without proper consideration to what is needed to ensure transparency, accountability and ethical oversight.
The report is accompanied by a snapshot of Australia insights.
Key findings
- Australians are less trusting and positive about AI than most countries.
- Australia is lagging in AI literacy.
- The responsible use and governance of AI is not keeping pace with adoption.
- Most students use AI and report benefits, but inappropriate use and over-reliance is widespread.
- The current regulatory landscape is falling short of public expectations.
