They provide a set of research-informed policy recommendations that put respect, work, care and gender equality at the centre of public life as the foundation of a productive and growing economy. The benchmarks recognise and support the interconnections of work and care in six key domains:

• decent work that supports decent care
• leave from work to care
• sustainable high-quality care infrastructure
• gender pay equality
• safe and respectful workplaces
• institutional support for decent work and decent care.
