Description

Despite the 'housing boom', Australia has experienced a continuing decline in the stock of affordable housing and is facing a housing affordability crisis. Nationally there is an estimated shortage of 150,000 units of affordable housing. There are approximately a quarter of a million people experiencing housing stress and if trends continue, the number will reach one million by 2020, even without including people in regional Australia.
