The Attorney-General recently declared that the government had received advice that 'Lashkar-e-Taiba has links with Australia, and therefore does pose a threat to Australia and Australian interests'. Although the Attorney-General did not elaborate on the nature of the advice or the threat, the Indian High Commissioner to Australia also claimed India had intelligence reports linking the LeT with Australia.
