Description
If individuals limit their labour market participation because of the housing assistance program guidelines, the overall cost of the program participants is likely to be higher than anticipated. Long-term reliance on housing assistance and related programs may limit the participation of individuals in important aspects of economic and social life. This positioning paper by Stephen Whelan represents the first step in research of this important issue for policy makers.
