This research was funded by the Victorian Law Foundation to help better understand the attitudes and behaviours of people looking for and using legal self-help resources online to solve common civil law problems. The aim is to inform better design and deployment of digital self-help resources across the legal services sector.

This research report examines how administrative data is collected and used in the Victorian civil justice system.

This report draws on findings from the Community Perspectives of Law Survey, an Australia-wide survey of over 1800 people which explored people’s understanding of the relevance of law and, in particular, whether lawyers are seen as important in relation to everyday scenarios.
