This paper seeks to make a broad review of interlinkages and to provide some ideas for an overarching framing to clarify the synergies, complementarities and trade-offs between agricultural and rural policy approaches, with a view to enabling further suggestions for learning through dialogue.

The digitalisation of agriculture: a literature review and emerging policy issues
The quantity and quality of digital technologies available to farmers have advanced considerably since the 1990s. This paper argues that policy-makers need to address the removal of specific barriers to farmers’ adoption of digital technologies, while ensuring both enabling infrastructure and appropriate incentives exist upstream in markets for digital innovation.
