This discussion paper synthesises research on evidence-based teaching practices that support Autistic students and students with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with learning in school settings. It outlines what the current evidence for these cohorts of students indicates, what’s emerging and the implications for policy and practice in Australian schools.

This report provides insights into strategies and interventions that improve aspects of wellbeing linked to learning and clarifies the degree of evidence underpinning them. It finds that Australian education systems and sectors can have medium to very high confidence in the wellbeing strategies and interventions identified.

This paper presents findings from AERO’s scoping work to understand how student wellbeing is measured in Australia and highlights opportunities to improve effective data collection and use of wellbeing data in decision making.
