Problem gambling is estimated to effect seven or even more people around the gambler, and family and friends comprise up to one third of clients to gambling help and support services. The findings in this report suggest that family members experience a significant range of gambling-related harms and access help for a variety of reasons.

This paper provides an overview of the evidence on e-mental health support and treatment options for people seeking help with problem gambling.

Funded through a foundation grant for clinical research on gambling, this project aimed to create guidelines to help members of the public assist people with gambling problems. The guidelines cover:
