Through surveys and interviews, this study seeks to better understand the harm experienced by children that can be attributed to their parents’ gambling.

Problem gambling is estimated to effect seven or even more people around the gambler, and family and friends comprise up to one third of clients to gambling help and support services. The findings in this report suggest that family members experience a significant range of gambling-related harms and access help for a variety of reasons.

This paper provides an overview of the evidence on e-mental health support and treatment options for people seeking help with problem gambling.

This discussion paper summarises the available research about how gambling problems affect family relationships and family members, how families cope with gambling problems, and the assessment and therapy options available to the family members of people with gambling problems.
