In Australia people with disability are more likely to experience violence than people without disability. This fact sheet summarises the prevalence of physical violence, sexual violence and stalking and harassment against people with disability.

This compendium was produced as part of a University of Melbourne research project titled 'Violence against people with disabilities: maximising the use of data to inform the Royal Commission.' It aims to provide research directions for academics, policy makers and government.

This project explores the degree to which the NDIS is achieving its aims and objectives from the perspective of people with disability using these services.
