This report summarises how global climate policy has developed and to describe the core features that should underpin climate policy going forward. Several case studies are provided to illustrate effective climate finance policy in Australia, the European Union, Japan and the United States.

The Wellbeing Roundtable approach was written for policy-makers and practitioners who want to put wellbeing at the centre of decision-making. It provides practical, evidence-based guidance to demystify the process of developing wellbeing measures and frameworks that change practice.

An emerging view in public policy is that there should be greater use of evaluations and randomised controlled trials (also known as RCTs). This paper provides the first large-scale survey evidence on knowledge and support for RCTs in a high-income country, and how this support varies across the population.

In 2022, the National Children’s Commissioner, in collaboration with UNICEF Australia, commenced a project to develop a Child Rights Impact Assessment (CRIA) tool for policy-makers and legislators. This report outlines the reasons for using CRIAs in policy and legislative development, and the process undertaken to develop the CRIA.

This report documents how different types of evidence feed into tax policy-making. It aims to help external stakeholders understand how the evidence they produce is used and how they could better feed into policy-making, and offers the government recommendations for how it can use such evidence more effectively.
