This publication provides an interesting analysis of what ‘religion’ and ‘spirituality’ actually mean, and how they are different, what constitutes their appeal, and how religionists experience their faith.

This research project sought to learn about Australian Muslims’ concerns, priorities and experiences of hate, violence and negative public commentary in the wake of the tragic Christchurch mosque attack. The project also sought to give Australian Muslims an opportunity to share their stories of successful community initiatives.

Social inclusion in Australia has proven remarkably resilient during the COVID-19 pandemic. Australians were surveyed after the height of the pandemic in December 2020, confirming that disasters do bring people closer together.

In order to determine the attitudes of Australians towards religion, the Centre for Independent Studies commissioned YouGov Galaxy to poll more than 1000 Australians. The results outlined in this report reveal that Australians are viewing religion as mostly an individual right to belief, but are sceptical of religious organisations.
