This report identifies the locations around Australia in which the greatest number of vulnerable people will be affected by extreme heat. Targeting these areas for support will ensure the greatest number of vulnerable people are helped during periods of extreme heat.

This initial implementation plan presents the milestones for the actions prioritised for delivery in 2024 and foreshadows the activities to deliver the remaining actions in 2025 and beyond.

This review investigates the health benefits provided by 3 ecosystem services - air filtration, local climate regulation and recreation. The review found ecosystem services provide many benefits to human health including respiratory, cardiovascular and mental health benefits.
