This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) and the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) exists to facilitate practical ways for the DTA and the AIIA to engage to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

The income tax treatment of housing assets: an assessment of proposed reform arrangements
This research models several politically acceptable pathways to reform negative gearing and CGT so as to reduce impacts on less sophisticated property investors. Two reform models— a rental deduction cap of $5,000 and a progressive rental deduction based on income—could lead to savings of over $1.7 billion each.

The former Federal Water Minister, Barnaby Joyce, approved the $17 million purchase of water in the Warrego valley, after criticising the Labor government for the same thing. This was a deal that required amendments to the Basin Plan to later adjust Basin Plan limits between valleys, outside the parliamentary process.
