This report on workplace exploitation and the experience of migrant women living in Australia on temporary visas identifies an unacceptable level of sexual harassment, exacerbated by visa status, and calls for immediate policy action. The report makes recommendations to create a safer and more equitable working environment for migrant women.

This Australian Government Response includes responses to the 172 recommendations within the Australian Government’s primary or shared responsibility. It does not include responses to the 50 recommendations within state and territory governments’ primary responsibility.

Public consultation was undertaken between November 2023 and January 2024 to understand stakeholders’ responses and views on the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability recommendations.
