This report provides insight into scams targeting Australians in 2024 and highlights the impact of combined efforts by government, law enforcement, community sector and industry to combat scams. Scam reports and reported losses to scams have decreased from 2023.

A compendium of 14 recent studies exploring topics including Indigenous over-representation in the criminal justice system; family, domestic and sexual violence; online sexual exploitation of children; transnational serious and organised crime; and violent extremism. The themes explored reflect a focus on reducing crime and promoting justice by improving evidence-based policymaking.

In Australia, child oral health remains a significant population health problem. This study evaluated the impact of the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) on dental visits among eligible children and adolescents in Australia. It showed that the CDBS policy had a statistically significant and positive impact on dental visits among eligible children and adolescents.
