This statistical report describes the 9,101 alleged sexual offenders proceeded against by police in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory in 2022–23. The offenders were proceeded against for offences involving a total of 8,873 identified victims.
Evaluation
Restorative justice conferencing for domestic and family violence and sexual violence
Understood to be the first publicly available process and outcome evaluation of a restorative justice program for both domestic family violence and sexual violence in Australia. The evaluation examined the barriers to delivery, activities delivered and outcomes associated with participation. It provides 10 recommendations with insights and lessons for future programs.
