In a world-first project, the CRCLCL has partnered with NSW Ports to beneficially utilise co-products from coal-fired power stations into low-carbon geopolymer concrete bollards to protect the coastline at Port Kembla from extreme weather events.

This report is the first of its kind to apply the deprivation approach to examine deprivation among young Australians using information provided by young people themselves. It builds on earlier projects that developed and applied the approach used here to adults.

Abstract:

This report estimates the health burden of air pollution from individual coal-fired power stations in NSW. It is significant new research made possible by recent studies of particle characterisation and atmospheric transport of pollution.
