Do females known for online child sexual exploitation differ from males? Group characteristics and recidivism


Despite increasing research on online child sexual exploitation, limited research compares female and male perpetrators. This study examined 116 females and 116 age-matched males known to police in Victoria for online child sexual exploitation on group characteristics and risk of reoffending. The findings have implications for policy and highlight several important avenues for future research.

Warning signs: climate change risks to Victoria’s infrastructure


This research report provides an analysis of climate change risks to Victorian Government-owned and regulated infrastructure from seven different extreme weather events. It finds more than $57 billion of this infrastructure is at risk of damage or destruction from extreme weather. The research provides guidance to government on where to focus adaptation action and funding.

Free TAFE


This report evaluates Victoria's Free TAFE initiative introduced in 2019. It finds that while the program successfully boosted training participation in priority skill areas and provided substantial tuition fee savings to students, it resulted in higher per-enrolment government costs and failed to significantly shift the overall proportion of priority student cohorts.
