OCLC has partnered with the American Library Association (ALA) and its Public Library Association (PLA) division to investigate current perceptions and support among US voters and how they may have shifted since 2008 when OCLC published From Awareness to Funding: A Study of Library Support in America.

This whitepaper examines the results of a survey of researchers about research data and discusses the challenges that researchers face in sharing their data. It looks at data sharing attitudes globally, as well as in relation to region, subject and seniority. The paper finds a desire from researchers that their data are discoverable.
